The miracles by Jesus wrought,
To show that from above
His peaceful embassy was brought,
Were miracles of love.

To show His love in every place,
Salvation He revealed;
Dark minds enlightened by His grace,
Diseasèd bodies healed.

He to the blind gave open eyes,
And to the deaf gave ears;
He bade the slumbering dead arise,
And wiped the widow’s tears.
