Father of heaven, we thee address;
Obedience is our view;
Accept us in thy Son, and bless
The work we have to do.

Jesus, as water well applied
Will make the body clean,
So in the fountain of thy side
Wash thou the soul from sin.

Celestial Dove, descend from high,
And on the water brood;
And with thy quickening power apply
The water and the blood.
4
Great God, Three-One, again we call,
And our requests renew;
Accept in Christ, and bless withal
The work we’ve now to do.
