’Twas God who gave the precious Name
Of Jesus to His Son,
Because He knew His gracious work
By Him would well be done.

The Name of Jesus Saviour means;
And such He is indeed
To all who feel the weight of sin,
And peace and pardon need.

His Name was Jesus when on earth,
His Name is Jesus now;
And God declares that to that Name
All heaven and earth shall bow.
